What does this word mean? (playing Words with Friends)?

Okay this may sound completely nerdy but I want to expand my vocabulary lol! So I played a game of words with friends and after I won the game I went back to look at the board and there were about 15 words that I didn't quite know and I have been looking them up(successfully) until I got to this word. "IRED" now i'm not sure if this is an abbreviation or if scrabble even accepts abbreviations but idk i just have no clue what this word is, help?! I need to know: the definition of IRED and if scrabble accepts acronyms and/or abbreviations?
