What would happen if I put a CD-ROM for windows 95 into a Vista?

Sometimes the old 16bit programs will run on Vista but 99% of the time they don't. Most likely what will happen is that it won't run at all and you'll get an error message. It's not going to hurt the computer to try, if that's what you're really asking.
