What happened to spore you know the water stage?

before spore was released i watched dozens of trailers and videos and a couple of them had a water stage where the creature swims in the water now the game does not have that will they make it into an expansion or just leave it cut and why is it cut. now many hackers and people have made there Version and i want one made by maxis.
